Jennifer
Give me so much fun because you are doing cool things and I know you just had a book release, so it's inviting. So this show is all about, you know, our stories, our journey, like what we are, where we are, what we've learned in that process, how we can inspire people. And I know you embody all of that.
00:02:52:23 - 00:03:00:23
Jennifer
So I really want to open this up and talk a little bit about construction. How did this happen?
00:03:02:03 - 00:03:23:11
Chelsea
Yeah, it's I like to say I wasn't playing with Barbies when I was little and being like I'm an on a construction company someday. That definitely was not on the radar at all. So, like, know, I'm sure like many people I've I fell into it and I'll, I'll kind of say how I fell into it. But I a lot of people do that when you ask them like, how did you get to know what you're doing?
00:03:23:18 - 00:03:48:21
Chelsea
So I have a Spanish degree and a broadcast journalism degree from college. I had to do my internship. So I'm from a small town in South Dakota. I moved out to Denver to do my internship, did that, and then I just ended up staying and at that point, like I had wanted to be the next Barbara Walters. But then I found out they they make like 20 grand a year and work nights and weekends.
00:03:48:21 - 00:04:15:10
Chelsea
And I was like, that sounds horrible. So I just I took a job because the, the, like six months in, you know, the college bills start coming. And I was like, I just literally need a job. So I took a job at a, like a temp staffing agency. So I did. I worked at a bunch of random offices in Denver and then that lady passed me on to her sister, who was hiring for an experiential marketing and trade show company.
00:04:15:21 - 00:04:33:02
Chelsea
So I went and worked. I started as a receptionist there and then worked my way up through the company for about five or six years. And then I kind of just had this feeling that I didn't feel like I was doing anything like that really mattered, you know, in the world I wasn't making an impact, but then I was like, I have no idea what I want to do.
00:04:33:10 - 00:04:56:06
Chelsea
So did some soul searching and then I actually quit that. Got my master's in education and became a high school Spanish teacher for ten years. So did that till the last year was rough. Like one day a kid called me an effing waste of space and I was like, okay. And then I was. I remember just looking like, sitting there in my room and I was like, Oh, I don't like this anymore.
00:04:56:06 - 00:05:14:11
Chelsea
So I was desperate to move on. But again, had no clue what I was going to do. And I started applying for all these jobs. No one called me at all like crickets. And I was like, Oh my gosh, you know? So the only job I got offered was as an office manager for a different commercial construction company.
00:05:14:22 - 00:05:34:22
Chelsea
So that's how I got into commercial construction. And then in March of 2020, randomly, because what else are we doing? I started my company and I built that and were and still work that other full time job until April of 22. So and that at that point I'm like, I cannot do this anymore. Like two legitimate full time jobs is like.
00:05:34:22 - 00:05:35:06
Jennifer
Just.
00:05:35:09 - 00:05:50:13
Chelsea
Way too much on top of just life, right? Because, like, no. So yeah. So since then, I've been running my company and we're over doubling every year. I have amazing clients, amazing employees and I'm, it's I just am really grateful and proud of where we are right now.
00:05:51:00 - 00:05:58:12
Jennifer
You gave me chills. Okay. So back up in your story a little bit, because my very first guest today also said the same thing about the journalism thing.
00:05:58:14 - 00:05:58:22
Chelsea
Yeah.
00:05:59:07 - 00:06:15:11
Jennifer
That I was going to be like the next Barbara Walters or something like that. And then I realized they didn't get paid. If you know, people three people today that said and all of you all had been like really good speakers, you know, like it's it's funny. And they've all said the same thing. I was going to go into journalism and I realized money.
00:06:15:20 - 00:06:35:10
Jennifer
Yeah, I think the whole the thing about education and going into that and then yes these stories they just to me it's so awesome to see how people sort of transverse through these different things and kind of where they are. And it's not like playing Barbies and construction like.
00:06:35:20 - 00:06:36:05
Chelsea
Yeah.
00:06:36:12 - 00:06:40:09
Jennifer
Right. Yeah, I'm going to be in construction when I grow up. Right, right.
00:06:40:09 - 00:07:01:02
Chelsea
Yeah. And it's interesting, you know, they're also random in different like completely different. But I wouldn't change anywhere because I learned I grew as a person through each. I learned like things about myself. I learned skills through all of them. So I'm grateful I went through all of them. And then when you start something new, yeah, it's harder because you're like, Wait, what am I doing?
00:07:01:09 - 00:07:12:02
Chelsea
You know? But you I guess I'm proof that you can start something super new, completely new, work really hard, ask questions, learn and be successful still.
00:07:12:16 - 00:07:32:21
Jennifer
Yeah. What do you feel like this is? I always like to ask this question. I have somebody on here that's got something like this, like you've done and you've scaled this and you you've done really well. What do you feel like has contributed to the success? I know you said working hard. You can think of it, really feel like it's been a factor in this business.
00:07:33:12 - 00:07:34:01
Jennifer
It's grown.
00:07:35:03 - 00:07:52:13
Chelsea
I would think, probably for for me, two things like number one, just being myself and being honest in like this is I try to be really honest with clients. Like if we can't help them, I ask a lot of questions upfront and if we can't help them, I tell them and then I try if I can offer a solution.
00:07:52:13 - 00:08:10:16
Chelsea
But you know, I'm like, I never want to pass up work, but you know, I don't want to cause them issues on a construction site like their safety. There's lives involved that's really important. So just being honest in like if they think they want to do one thing, but we recommend something else, you know, to consult with them.
00:08:11:12 - 00:08:35:15
Chelsea
And really the success has just been relationships completely like and that could go back when I was a teacher too. You won't get anywhere in life if you're if you're good at building relationships and getting to know people and caring about that, you'll be successful in whatever you do. Truly, I think because people care about you. Like I can get together with people and we're just talking about, you know what you did this weekend?
00:08:35:15 - 00:08:43:22
Chelsea
They were talking about family. We're talking about life. And that's what people care about. So and it just makes it more fun when you work together. So I would say those two things.
00:08:44:16 - 00:09:04:05
Jennifer
I know, I think those are great and I think the relation part is so huge and you're right, you learn that skill. It really transfers into anything that you're doing and you kind of touched upon that when you said you learn things in each of those areas that you were in and the education, learning, the relationship. Yeah, no, I just talked about this.
00:09:04:05 - 00:09:21:18
Jennifer
The other day about growth. Right. Like I said, you know, I was in 22 years and Mary Kate, I learned a lot of things. I wanted to coach her book. I learned. So I learned all these crazy. Yes, it really go in all areas. But interestingly enough, we started you really you think about that you had to learn how to build relationships.
00:09:21:18 - 00:09:39:01
Jennifer
You had to learn that. And I talked about this the other day, how it really moved into when I started doing podcasting because I started doing more things about people right, asking more questions. We always have the saying, you know, Mary Kay, with that, nothing would happen to sell something. Well, nothing really happens in selling until you get to know people.
00:09:39:10 - 00:09:40:01
Chelsea
Oh, totally.
00:09:40:01 - 00:09:58:13
Jennifer
I mean, what they need and how you can help them, whether or not you can even help them. Right. Not have a solution for them. And I think it takes a certain amount of willingness to say I may not be the right fit, but yeah, being the client is more important and I need to know whether or not what I have is a is a fit for you.
00:09:59:05 - 00:10:06:07
Chelsea
And that they know if you genuinely care or if you're just trying to make a sale and move on, right? People know that that's so, you know.
00:10:06:15 - 00:10:14:06
Jennifer
SD Right. We know, yeah. Yeah. Somebody I was having this conversation today with somebody and I'm not going to name them. So I guess I was talking about somebody today.
00:10:14:15 - 00:10:14:21
Chelsea
Yeah.
00:10:15:16 - 00:10:23:05
Jennifer
This person just strikes me as the type of person that the sale is probably more important than to them than the client relation.
00:10:23:05 - 00:10:24:02
Chelsea
Yeah. Yeah.
00:10:24:12 - 00:10:26:21
Jennifer
I feel like we as humans can pick up on that.
00:10:27:10 - 00:10:28:04
Chelsea
Totally.
00:10:29:03 - 00:10:40:02
Jennifer
Mm. So you're doing something good there. I love it. So you just had a book launch out? Yeah. So maybe tell us a little bit about that, what it's about and sure you want we want to make sure we get the blog into that.
00:10:40:15 - 00:11:03:14
Chelsea
Thank you. So my book is called Real Vibes Only Unapologetic Confessions of a Hot Mess, Mom, Preneur. And it's it's just a compilation of short stories from my life of things I've gone through, things I've overcome. Some are pretty intense. Some are kind of in the middle summer lighter, but it's really just the whole goal of this. And they're such different stories.
00:11:03:14 - 00:11:24:02
Chelsea
But the goal kind of I didn't know what I was going to write when I started writing these just poured out of me and then became this book. But really, I hope to inspire other women, other entrepreneurs, other busy people that, you know, we've all gone through hard times in life and you will get through it won't break you.
00:11:24:02 - 00:11:45:10
Chelsea
You will come out stronger on the other side. And just to give hope and really to say be authentic and real, like, why are we, especially as women, like trying to be perfect and why as moms, like, why are we trying to think we were alone and we're suffering in silence and we have to be perfect. That's like to find actual true connection and be happy and be fulfilled.
00:11:45:18 - 00:12:03:07
Chelsea
Maybe we should just be honest and, you know, find our tribe so we can be honest. And it's not like you're sitting there complaining all the time, but if you need a day to do that, do it and have that safe person that you actually can do that with. Right. And but have people building you up and supporting you and just being real.
00:12:03:18 - 00:12:20:01
Chelsea
And, you know, this in this world of like fake Instagram, like, you know, it's they're making people feel bad about being real or feeling like guilt or shame because they don't we don't look like them. We're never going to look like them. They're so it's so fake, you know?
00:12:20:09 - 00:12:24:20
Jennifer
Yeah. Yeah. I like I remember the whole title was I just like the hot mess mom part.
00:12:25:09 - 00:12:42:12
Chelsea
Yeah. And there's a lot of hot mess. I think the first the first chapter is called If you're a Perfect Mom, don't read this. And then I list all the crazy things and they're pretty crazy. Am I? Two sons have done that week in like. Yeah, it's ridiculous. Oh, and you have boys.
00:12:42:12 - 00:12:45:18
Jennifer
You know, there's never a dull moment for you.
00:12:45:18 - 00:13:05:02
Chelsea
And my little one we call the Honey Badger. He's crazy. And I love him, but he's insane. And the stuff I'm actually going to write a children's book about him because he has, like run away naked. And my neighbor texted me a picture saying, You got a streaker. He was three. He climbed a five foot wooden fence and ran away, but naked.
00:13:05:15 - 00:13:18:04
Chelsea
So he did that. He bought like a 1500 dollar dirt bike. And Amazon, he does like the most random things. And I'm like, Oh, please, just like, take it easy on me, child.
00:13:18:04 - 00:13:24:14
Jennifer
I'm funny. I feel like I feel like boys. I had two girls and then my youngest is a boy and I feel like they're just a little bit different.
00:13:24:21 - 00:13:26:09
Chelsea
Yeah, there are a lot different.
00:13:26:23 - 00:13:34:08
Jennifer
I mean, I think you're different things and my son's done maybe that crazy, but I feel like he has done some pretty crazy things.
00:13:34:08 - 00:13:54:04
Chelsea
Yeah. If we start just I know my, my older son was like, oh, mom, are you going to write a book about me? And I was like, Hey, buy it. Like, think of all this stuff your brother does and like all the material he's giving me, you know, like for, like, I got probably 20 books for that kid and he's like.
00:13:54:12 - 00:13:55:13
Jennifer
Thank you. Later, he.
00:13:55:13 - 00:14:02:11
Chelsea
Might be like, I get it. He's like, Yeah, actually, I get what you're saying. It's okay. You don't write a book about me.
00:14:03:11 - 00:14:26:00
Jennifer
It's like you. We've got so much content. When they get older, he's going to be like, maybe they want know all that stuff, right? Right. So yeah, I love what you're doing. What do you feel like? I mean, you you talk to talked about starting all this up as a new mom or not a new mom, but a mom new in the entrepreneur space.
00:14:26:00 - 00:14:45:03
Jennifer
We feel like some I maybe like some of the biggest challenges were for you that you had to kind of and it's an ongoing I know these challenges you know a business are kind of constant I mean some things that you for a new person may be coming in it wants to start a company some new things you you had to overcome entrepreneurs are you ready to level up your leadership skills?

Yeah, probably the biggest things is having boundaries for your time. Like I early on in the business, like pretty much every banker insurance person certain people want. Email me, hey, can we have coffee and chat? I just want to see how I can support you. And I used to go to all of them and then I realized how valuable my time is and that I literally do everything in the company and I don't have time for that.
00:16:10:21 - 00:16:35:11
Chelsea
Right. It's a it's truly a waste of my time. It's a waste of their time because guess what? I'm not I will drive my car off a cliff if I ever have to switch commercial insurance again because it's her. It's horrible. I don't I just hate it so much or banks. So I'm like, I nicely say no. Like it's just I have to pick what I'm doing and make sure whatever meeting or event like, is it actually worth my time?
00:16:35:11 - 00:16:47:00
Chelsea
Am I getting new clients? Am I learning or growing in some way? Am I is it inspiring me? And if it's not those things, then just say no, it's it's going to be fine. And then also, I would say.
00:16:47:20 - 00:16:48:07
Jennifer
You.
00:16:48:07 - 00:17:07:06
Chelsea
Have to make your schedule so that you are fulfilled because it is draining. It is crazy like being in construction today. My phone rang at 6 a.m.. It was my employee. It was like snowing. So we, you know, I had to call the client at 6 a.m. today. So my days start early, but I get up usually really early.
00:17:07:06 - 00:17:29:08
Chelsea
I go to the gym first thing. I'm home by 7 a.m. when my family's still sleeping because that is what I need to do for me. Before, normally my phone started ringing at 7 a.m., you know? So it's like, I got that in. I have to get out in the sunshine. I have to do things that fill me up and I have to build those in because the day's going to get away from you.
00:17:29:08 - 00:17:54:11
Chelsea
Like it just is, you know, when you're doing a million things, but like you have to first build your life like what you want it to be first and your non-negotiables that fill you up, make you feel healthy and happy and, and fill in the work around it. Otherwise, like, what's the point of being successful in however many years when your health is failing, you're getting divorced, your kids hate you.
00:17:54:11 - 00:18:13:04
Chelsea
Like that's not success to me. If the company appears successful, but everything else is fallen apart like to truly be happy. You have to do it now, right now and build it in. And then it's actually enjoyable and not every day is, but you have to. That's your goal going into each day.
00:18:13:11 - 00:18:37:13
Jennifer
All right. You said two very two amazing things there. One of those I work on with people on all the time, and that's trying to create that harmony. Right. It's like teach them sustainable habits so that they can take their business for the long haul, but also not compromise those values. Yeah, so I think that's so important because, you know, I ask this question all the time, people like how do you define success?
00:18:37:13 - 00:18:59:03
Jennifer
And a lot of times, you know, most people that I that I feel are truly successful, it's that they're living life on their terms, meaning, yes, able to do the things that they enjoy doing, make money at the things that they enjoy doing, but live their life the way they choose to construct it. Another thing that I like that you said is that you have to design it like you have to create it to live it, right?
00:18:59:03 - 00:19:23:04
Jennifer
Because I think so often I would say probably nine. I did a podcast with a guy on my show and he asked the question like, how many people I can ever hate posed? How many people do you feel like, are truly successful? And he said, So we call it the 2% crying because that means 98% of people go through life really waiting for things to be right, to design the life right.
00:19:23:05 - 00:19:23:13
Jennifer
They will.
00:19:23:13 - 00:19:41:10
Chelsea
Never. Yeah. And then they'll be at the end of life and they'll be like, oh, I didn't even live my life. I wasn't happy. I wasn't fulfilled. Right. It's like a runaway train, which you bring the train back, get off the train and create, you know, your thing. Like, yeah, so many I it's sad that so many people live like that.
00:19:41:23 - 00:20:04:04
Jennifer
Yeah. Well and I think honestly totally. I think it's because they don't know what they don't know. Right. Like, yeah. Like when you get into a place where you I don't know, I don't want to say I don't know what the word I'm looking for articulate. But I think when you get into a place where you realize how you define success and what that looks like to you, and for me, what that is, is those things I told you, it's being able to do the things I love.
00:20:04:04 - 00:20:29:03
Jennifer
It's being able to live within my values, not compromise. Right. You talked about that well-being part. That's part of my life. And a lot of that is because I do have a chronic condition that I that I deal with health condition, that my priority has to be that I have to make sure I exercise, make sure yes, I make sure I get in my time for myself, my detox, whatever you want to call that time when those things get compromised, my health is compromised.
00:20:29:03 - 00:20:44:00
Jennifer
So those things we talk about, like with our family vacations, important things, our children, all of those things. And I just think that, yeah, we wait for all the things to be right when the things are never going to really be right. Yeah, I put those things first and make them right.
00:20:44:09 - 00:21:01:09
Chelsea
Absolutely. It's like learning to live in the messiness, the messy chaos that's beautiful now because life will never be perfect. And if it is perfect, that means you're not living it. You're not, like, pushing yourself. I mean, that just sounds boring to me.
00:21:01:11 - 00:21:03:06
Jennifer
Like it's. You know what I mean?
00:21:03:12 - 00:21:10:22
Chelsea
Like, I always tell my kids, like, we're weird. We don't want to be perfect. That's boring, you know, like, we're weirdo kids, and they're.
00:21:10:22 - 00:21:22:08
Jennifer
Like, Yeah, I had a mentor that I worked with for a couple years and he starts talking about this in business. And like I said, he's like, If you don't have a fire burning, it's somewhere in your nest. You are not growing. Right. And I.
00:21:22:09 - 00:21:22:17
Chelsea
Right.
00:21:22:17 - 00:21:45:00
Jennifer
Yeah, life is. If you it doesn't mean you go out and frigging bring in chaos and your wife, but it means that the wife in the whole thing is a journey. Everything, every step we take, every day we get up, every day we breathe is a journey. If you're sitting on the sidelines with this perfect every single day, then you're stuck in a non growing pattern.
00:21:45:00 - 00:21:59:18
Jennifer
And if you need me, that's okay for you. There's nothing wrong with that if it is okay for you. But for people like you and I who want to imagine most listeners that are listening to this show, we want to be growing. We want to continue to thrive. Yeah. And that means there's going to be a little messy in the middle.
00:22:00:07 - 00:22:20:06
Chelsea
Pure, totally. Like we are meant to live mediocre lives like I we are not meant to do that. Like we will live in will be like nervous and doing things that scare us because that's who we are. We want to be pushing ourselves and growing like I don't I have a million things to do and I'll, I'll try to get some stuff off the to do list, but then I'm like, Oh, I want to do this, I want to do that.
00:22:20:06 - 00:22:29:03
Chelsea
Like, I just it's like I don't think I'll ever not having, like, stop having a massive to do list because I keep thinking of new things that I want to do. I'm like, Oh.
00:22:29:03 - 00:22:29:11
Jennifer
Stop.
00:22:29:11 - 00:22:31:03
Chelsea
It. But I can't. I just can't.
00:22:31:08 - 00:22:39:12
Jennifer
This the minute things start to settle down, I'm like, This should shake something up on the podcast. Or maybe right title.
00:22:39:22 - 00:22:41:17
Chelsea
Is Let's Change Everything.
00:22:42:01 - 00:22:47:06
Jennifer
It's just got to change it all happen. The need. Then I get mic. Let's just put it all together.
00:22:47:06 - 00:22:47:19
Chelsea
Right.
00:22:47:19 - 00:23:11:11
Jennifer
I know I was talking to a guy before, earlier today. He was like if we talk about creators and stuff and when you're in the entrepreneur space and you're kind of a creator of all of this, I think have a little bit of create in some way that we just continually we get to a place where we can be okay with who we are, but we like creating and we manifesting things.
00:23:11:11 - 00:23:27:01
Jennifer
And yeah, it doesn't mean that we're necessarily unhappy, it just means that we enjoy like I sort of mess up for me. I don't know about you, but I love ideas. When people when somebody I'm like a sucker for an idea, something and they're like, Hey, I have an idea. Like, I'm excited. Like, you're like you.
00:23:28:10 - 00:23:30:04
Chelsea
I know what I.
00:23:30:07 - 00:23:53:21
Jennifer
Have to do. Like, you say no to a lot of things between to be a part of all of them. But I love ideas. Yeah. Telling me things are creating so yeah. There's so much goodness and all that that just what we said about all of it is priorities in place, right? Yep. So you do cool things. So you got a podcast about to launch here pretty soon you're excited about.
00:23:53:21 - 00:23:54:03
Chelsea
Yeah.
00:23:54:11 - 00:23:58:19
Jennifer
You're trying to get the name for that. You want to tell about it. What's going to be happening with that?
00:23:59:03 - 00:24:29:20
Chelsea
Yeah, I'm literally this is not my zone of genius is thinking of names for things it's really I just feel bad at it, you know, when you know you're good at something. I'm definitely not good at this and I'm trying so hard, but I'm trying to name the podcast. But really I wanted I want to do solo episodes and then with Guest but very similar to your show like I want to have inspiring people on telling stories, telling things they've been through, going through adversity, what did they learn from it?
00:24:29:20 - 00:24:49:07
Chelsea
How did they get out? You know, just inspire people and also just talk about real life, you know, and not this fake stuff that we see everywhere. So, yeah, it's just I just love every time I'm on a podcast, I leave. I'm like, yes, I feel you feel so good just connecting with people, right? And other driven, positive people.
00:24:49:12 - 00:24:54:00
Chelsea
And yeah. So that's kind of the goal. But I just need a fun. Find the name.
00:24:54:16 - 00:25:10:01
Jennifer
You will get it, you know, and I will now podcasting. You know, I think I've met so many incredible people on this show. Yeah, over 300 people now. Yeah. You learn so much from them. Like I just said, you hear a lot of the same things come.
00:25:10:01 - 00:25:12:17
Chelsea
Up in different ways. Yeah, yeah.
00:25:12:23 - 00:25:36:11
Jennifer
Yeah. But I think it's so fun being in that because like, you have nobody to talk to. You just do a couple episodes, like you get your cup filled and a day and it's like, Oh, totally. They never had to leave my house to do it, you know? Yeah, it's, it's such a good thing. And I think, you know, the world, there's so much negativity out there on when you get to have positive things to put out there.
00:25:36:11 - 00:25:38:03
Jennifer
And that's why I like doing that's why I like.
00:25:38:03 - 00:25:38:12
Chelsea
Talking to.
00:25:38:20 - 00:25:41:08
Jennifer
People like you because I just don't hear enough of that.
00:25:41:21 - 00:26:06:22
Chelsea
Yeah, it's inspiring. The world's, like, heavy and just cold and sad and, like, depressing. Every time that I run from the news, like, literally run. I hate it so much, but my husband loves it, and I'm always like, more death and destruction. And then I, like, run out of the room because I hate it so much. And it's like, because I'm an empath and like, I'll hear a story accidentally or accidently read it and then I'll cry about it for months and I'm like, Why did I read that?
00:26:06:22 - 00:26:11:02
Jennifer
I'd like to know if they're afraid to say that, because like my.
00:26:11:09 - 00:26:11:20
Chelsea
My husband.
00:26:11:20 - 00:26:29:03
Jennifer
Has like a couple of things. You know, we're in Texas, so it's a couple of things. It's like politics. Yeah, growth and self-help, you know, I mean, give it. Yeah, I'm okay with the self-help. But after a day of, you know, a whole day of doing that, like, yeah, I need out of that. I don't want to be guns and I don't want to hear any politics.
00:26:29:03 - 00:26:29:13
Jennifer
Oh, I.
00:26:29:13 - 00:26:31:03
Chelsea
Hate talking about politics, too.
00:26:31:04 - 00:26:38:19
Jennifer
Well, we got on tonight. Which one are we doing? So now we can start cycle and I'm going to go through the psych one. We need to put some trash on for a while.
00:26:38:21 - 00:26:44:22
Chelsea
Yeah, like mindless. Like, yeah, I'm in this thing or something.
00:26:44:23 - 00:26:48:00
Jennifer
I'm like the gun show. Like, how many times can we look at the gun? They.
00:26:48:02 - 00:26:51:16
Chelsea
Yeah, my husband would love that. I'd be like, Oh, my God, seriously?
00:26:51:19 - 00:26:56:18
Jennifer
I'm like, all kind of the same. I don't know. What do we want you to still by yourself?
00:26:57:03 - 00:26:59:21
Chelsea
Yeah, like, I'll go. You something fun.
00:27:00:18 - 00:27:08:01
Jennifer
And I am an empathy so you know with like the animal things like I see animals and stuff like, you know, they come over my thing and I'm like, oh.
00:27:08:09 - 00:27:11:08
Chelsea
Yeah. I'm like, Why did I see that? Yeah, it's so bad.
00:27:11:18 - 00:27:30:05
Jennifer
I'm excited for your podcast because I think it's going to be great. You will get that time kill. You know, I have I have become an avid fan of the chat GPT these days and funny story. I was trying to create a title for anybody out there listening this. I was trying to create a new title for my business cards because I went from doing, you know, Mary Kay for 22 years.
00:27:30:05 - 00:27:46:20
Jennifer
So I was like an affiliate marketer, I was a consultant and I went to affiliate marketer, and then I was trying to figure out like, what do I put for the type of coach that I am because I'm a hybrid between like a life coach and a business school? Oh man, I do more like what I told you, where I'm trying to teach people how to bring the two together.
00:27:46:20 - 00:28:01:09
Jennifer
It's not about learning out of your business, but how do you navigate your life? Seems like in chats media typing in like give me a title for give me a title for this. And I finally it gave me like success me then as I learned about the maybe but then I got success architect.
00:28:01:18 - 00:28:02:19
Chelsea
And I was like that.
00:28:02:22 - 00:28:19:01
Jennifer
I kept using the word architect in my program that like I was a framework of architecture on how to design their business in alignment with their life. And yeah, so I ended up I like the architect and then somebody told me that I kind of liked that title.
00:28:19:09 - 00:28:20:17
Chelsea
Yeah, I like that a lot.
00:28:20:20 - 00:28:21:23
Jennifer
Like Mindset Coach.
00:28:22:22 - 00:28:26:15
Chelsea
Is different, but it's cool. It's so, yeah, I like that.
00:28:26:18 - 00:28:32:18
Jennifer
All the rooms, but it's a little different people. So you're like, What's a sexy architect? I'm like, Well, we'll talk.
00:28:33:15 - 00:28:57:19
Chelsea
It's like invites, conversation and I actually am using chat to try. I The other day I just wrote down all the words that I like. Describe the person I'm talking to and not. And then I put them in, I'm like, create podcast names for this and I have like 60 to go through and but I'll probably it's more I'm just using it for inspiration like pick and choose.
00:28:57:19 - 00:29:10:15
Chelsea
But yeah I'm I have a friend has told me about that like nine months ago. I'm like, what's this like? I live under a rock. Yeah. I don't know any of the cool stuff or tech, but it's amazing. It's really impressive you can get.
00:29:10:21 - 00:29:25:17
Jennifer
When you get where you do. That's a whole another conversation we can have, I guess. Oh, my gosh, you can do your mock I mean, so much. Yes. And with your title, you may even, like you said, inspirations client. I think that's what I ended up doing. I ended up pulling like a it wasn't like it said success architect, but.
00:29:25:17 - 00:29:26:11
Chelsea
You saw it.
00:29:26:20 - 00:29:31:17
Jennifer
Right now I kind of it's kind of like in that was city oh to.
00:29:31:23 - 00:29:38:18
Chelsea
Yeah yeah right but it gives you ideas and helps you maybe think differently than what my brain is doing, which is not good.
00:29:40:06 - 00:30:05:12
Jennifer
I think we get so, you know, I had a guest come on my other show that was talking about the right brain and the left brain. So task oriented yeah creative side of our brain sort of goes and storm does or you have. Yeah so I found that you know for for I don't know how you are but sometimes when I need to be creative, I have to do it like weird times, like when I'm with dogs or like when I'm not really working on Yeah.
00:30:05:18 - 00:30:10:22
Jennifer
Or stop, you know, or in that zone to be task. Hmm. No way. It's not happening.
00:30:11:03 - 00:30:29:16
Chelsea
Yeah, right. That I have to do that. Or like physically move away from my office because like, in my office, it's like work, you know what I mean? I'm just sitting here working, and so I have to maybe go to a coffee shop. Or do you know, when I was writing my book, I take my laptop to the coffee shop and be like, focus right for an hour or two.
00:30:29:16 - 00:30:38:12
Chelsea
Because sitting in my office at home for some reason, I'm just like stalled. It's very odd. Yeah. Just change it up to you, to energy. Okay.
00:30:38:17 - 00:30:52:06
Jennifer
All right. Well, one last question I want to ask you before asking, how do people find you any like parting words you want to give to somebody that's maybe going to be out there and they're going to start something? I don't know whether this is maybe when I go to construction, anything that you want, offer them the same.
00:30:52:06 - 00:30:54:21
Jennifer
Maybe this is what I would do.
00:30:54:21 - 00:31:17:18
Chelsea
So I would say if you're thinking of starting a business, first of all, do it. It's amazing, but it's not going to be easy. So you better like better buckle up. You're going to it's going to take some grit. It's like my son Start started a smoothie company the other day. My seven year old, and then he gave up after one day because he only had the male lady as his clients.
00:31:18:03 - 00:31:43:00
Chelsea
And I'm like, Oh child, you will never make it as an entrepreneur if you just gave up right there the first day and, you know, so be in it for the long haul. Success will not happen overnight, but you can actually make your life amazing and joyful and fulfilled what you want. And then I would say, surround yourself with people who are doing what you're doing, who are doing what you want to do and doing it well.
00:31:43:00 - 00:31:57:19
Chelsea
Become friends with them. Have them be your mentor, call them when you're like something happens and you don't know what to do. Like lean on those people because they're out there and they had mentors or people that helped them too. And most of them are happy to give back.
00:31:57:19 - 00:32:14:12
Jennifer
So it's, it, it's good. Thank you for sharing that. Chelsea Yeah. Awesome. Well, good stuff I'm excited for. Yeah. And keep thinking you're like rocking it. I love it. Love, energy, love, just love.
